This 1958 Pontiac Bonneville is said to have been sold new in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and spent time in Florida and Georgia and Pennsylvania before being acquired by the seller in 2021. A cosmetic refreshment was carried out during previous ownership, and the car is finished in silver over a two-tone silver and gray interior. Power is supplied by a 370ci V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, and equipment includes fog lights, fender-mounted mirrors, rear fender skirts, electric windshield wipers, and air conditioning. This Bonneville is now offered in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania with an owners manual, spare parts, a shop manual, and a clean Iowa title in the name of the sellers trust.
Advertised as The boldest advance in 50 years the Bonneville hardtop was first introduced in 1958 and rides on a 122 wheelbase. This example is finished in Starmist Silver Metallic and was repainted under previous ownership. Exterior features include quad headlights and taillights, fender-mounted side mirrors, fog lights, Bonneville badging, rear fender skirts, twin exhaust outlets, electric windshield wipers, and a hidden fuel filler door.
Steel wheels wear Pontiac-branded polished covers and are mounted with whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted drum brakes which were completely gone through under current ownership. New Brake Shs and Cylinders were installed on all four wheels. The front end suspension was completely rebuilt and all 4 wheels received new wheel bearings.
The interior was refreshed during previous ownership and features bench seats that are trimmed in two-tone silver with dark gray patterned inserts along with matching door panels and carpeting that features silver thread running through the weave. Air conditioning has been added and lap belts are fitted for all occupants. Additional amenities include a push-button radio, a locking glove compartment, and an analog clock.
A two-spoke steering wheel with a chrome trim ring fronts a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 80k miles, approximately 3k of which were added in the last 12 years. Total mileage is unknown.
The 370ci V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes that the carburetor is sensitive.
