1994 Chevrolet Silverado Pickup
The origin of the word Silverado is confusing and varied with each page you do research from. It has several meanings, however for this description we will just say it is a truck made by Chevrolet and is wildly popular.
For consignment, this very clean 1994 version of the Silverado in 1500 trim with tons of new parts. Not only is this truck capable of hauling loads, but it's also capable of hauling ass with the newly found power of a rebuilt 350ci V8 and rebuilt transmission, both loaded with performance goodies. Get your motor run-in, lookin' for adventure in whatever comes your way...born to be wild!
Note: Due to modifications of the emissions control devices installed by the manufacturer, please check your local, state, and federal laws to determine if this vehicle is applicable for use on public highways in your area
Exterior
This full size model of 1994 is bathed in light blue, has excellent straight galvanized steel panels, consistent gaps, but does present with inconsistency to the coloring, particularly on the passenger's fender and top of the bed on the passenger's side. A chrome surrounded with shiny mesh insert grille has new quad halogen headlights on its flanks, along with a shiny chrome bumper below which is highlighted by a black trim strip and black plastic lower air dam. A steel cowl induction hood is attached between the fenders and gives a muscular look to this hauler. Blacked out trim surrounds the windows and down low we note chrome wheel well molding for a little extra pizazz. Bringing up the tail end we see a body matching fiberglass lockable bed cover, which when lifted up gives access to the used but not abused steel bed. A CHEVROLET badged tailgate rests between the new cathedral style tail lights and just below is a like new chrome bumper and tow hitch. Peeking out from the bumper are a pair of chrome exhaust tips giving the rear end a bit more flair. Standard 15" deep dish Chevrolet rally wheels wrapped in like new Hankook blackwall rubber adorn the 4 corners and add to the muscle look of this truck.
Interior
A swing of the doors reveals an intricate use of dark and light blue cloth and molded blue vinyl with some carpeted area on the bottoms, and many differing panels to make up just the doors. Inside is a blue broadcloth pattern bench seat stretching from door to door and this tuck and roll insert and smooth outer bolster covered seat is in excellent condition showing little wear. In front is the original factory configured blue molded vinyl dash with a charcoal instrument cluster using the square and rectangle design of the mid 1980's. A tachometer and oil pressure gauge have been added above the digital heater controls and in the center of the dash we see a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo. Slightly faded and stained blue carpet is on the floors under the full length black rubber mat and above is a sagging felted headliner.
Drivetrain
Under the hood in the well restored engine bay we see a rebuilt in 2018 350ci V8. This powerful mill is topped with Vortec cylinder heads, has a Comp 280H camshaft within, and is topped off with an aluminum intake manifold and a Holley 600cfm 4bbl carburetor. Chrome valve covers are dressing up the bay as is the chrome air cleaner assembly. Bolted to the back is a TH350 3-speed automatic with a shift kit and a B&M 2500rpm stall converter. This transmission was rebuilt by Delaware transmissions. A 10-bolt axle conventional rear axle weighing in with 3.73 gears puts the power to the pavement. We note the addition of a new serpentine belt on the accessories along with a new distributor.
Undercarriage
Very clean and surface rust on some usual suspects, however very structurally sound. Our consigner states a new exhaust system is installed along with new components for power disc brakes up front, and power drums for the rear. Providing the ride is an independent coil spring front suspension and rear leaf springs. All buttoned up and ready to haul.
Drive-Ability
She fired right up and was ready for a few ticks around the track and she was proven to work well. More than adequate acceleration and shifting, bias free panic stopping, and easy drive-ability. The AC was pumping nice and cold thanks to a fresh charge and new low pressure switch, but I did notice that the speedometer doesn't work and this truck may require a GPS speedometer to keep track of your speed.
Whether it be your main mode of transportation, or a second truck to show and go with, you are sure to have years of reliable service left in this truck. No rust, good paint, and some muscle truck styling cues certainly make this a nice well thought out package. Go on, get to hauling.....ass!
