Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is pleased to present for sale, on consignment, this stunning black on black 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1! The standard equipped 351 Windsor was not cutting the mustard for the current owner for the past 18 years. It only seemed right to make it what it could have been from the factory by installing a 428 Cobra Jet big block. Seeing as this went in during modern day times, it only seemed right to bless it with a Holly Sniper Fuel Injection to eliminate those finicky 4 barrel carburetors. Here in the desert, heat is always a concern, to combat that a Champion 4 core aluminum radiator was installed with a 190 degree thermostat and dual electric fans that are always on. The C6 3 speed automatic transmission can tend to wind out at higher speeds, so a set of 3:25 gears are housed inside a Ford 9" rear end to keep the RPMs tame at highway speeds. An electric, in tank fuel pump helps to sufficiently feed the beast under the hood. The exterior has been sprayed with a PPG single stage black paint that helps deliver that sinister vibe that is accented by Billet aluminum American Racing wheels and raised white lettered BF Goodrich rubber. The interior retains the classic stock appearance you got in 1970 with wood accents, a working Quartz clock, fold down rear seat, bucket seats, and center console with storage. Custom touches include center console mounted water temp and oil pressure gauges, custom steering wheel and a neat little surprise when you open the trunk and fold the rear seat down. The retro AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo controls a SKAR Audio amplifier and two 8" subs, 6x9's in the rear deck. A custom trunk showcases the audio upgrades as well. Other Features and Options include: Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seatbelts and Vinyl Interior. This is an exceptional example of a well cared for, well exectured, restored Mach 1 that will look great in any collection.
