This is a Kansas car that was purchase in 2012. The build took 1 1/2 years to complete. -Car was hand stripped, which took 6 months. -Sanded down to gel coat, then black/grey primer used. -Builder, who is out of Arkansas, built the car to keep it, however when he got to end of this build, he decided he wanted a 55 Chevy, so he built himself a 55 Chevy with a matching trailer. . -99.5% of parts for build were brand new. -Original 396 Block bored piston over .30, which increased to 402 Big Block. Increased torque and horsepower. -Headlights were all gone through and work. -Gas tank in car is original. -Polyuthene mounts were used for build. -interior seats are from a (2004-2007) Pontiac GTO. -Builder mistakenly broke the original windshield, so new windshield was purchased and installed. -Original 64 Corvette purchase was a small block, 327, car. Original car was purchased for $26K.Builder spent $60K in parts on the build. Which this dsnt include all his labor to build. This is where the builder stopped and decided he wanted to build himself a 55 Chevy. He sold car then and didnt install disc brakes. Brakes work very well and Ive owned car 9 years. I was going to change front brake to GM disc brake kit set up, which is inexpensive, but havent gotten to it. -Car was painted a beautiful True Red with multiple layers of clear coat. -Lucite Portal Clear Window Installed on L88 Hood.
