1987 Pontiac Acadian 4 Dr. Pro Street Hatchback Blown Monster. Not your girlfriend's Pontiac anymore... this thing is wild. Absolutely rust-free body professionally painted satin green has earned it the name "Kermit". Resin shift knob featuring Kermit the Frog backs up the name! The car is completely caged with solid mounted racing seats and harnesses for good reason. Dart Iron small block Chevy 350 bored and stroked to a 421 features Scat rotating internals, Diamond 8.5:1 Pistons, a Comp Cams 12-405-5 camshaft with solid flat tappet lifters, roller rockers, MSD distributor and ignition. It’s finished with Edelbrock Performer heads topped with a Dyers 871 blower with 8mm belt and dual quad Quick Fuel 750 carbs. Custom Heat tape wrapped headers lead to side pipes, and it sounds killer. Water/Methanol injection for some serious driving. It's all backed by a TH-400 with trans brake, reverse manual valve body and 3000 rpm converter. Out back is a GM 10-bolt, 390 gears and full spool, 30 spline axles and c-clip eliminators. Up front we find 26x7.50 tires and 4 link set up with coil overs and 31x16.5x15 street legal Hosier's out back putting the power to the road. All that tire needs space, and the back seat and most of the trunk have been replaced by one big tub, with interior access to the fuel cell under the rear deck lid. Finishing inside is really nice, with full gauges in a custom dash but still sports original door panels. Rear tubbed area is carpeted nicely, and the cage is done well. Right now, no wipers, horn, e-brake and needs a speedo cable. Sounds mean but runs fantastically and is completely street able. Last owner was the builder and regularly drove the car around everywhere, not to mention the track! This one will be an absolute blast to drive this summer!
