This 1969 Road Runner underwent an extensive restoration and transformation into a one-of-a-kind custom restomod. During the project, every component and system was refreshed to top-quality appearance and function. Special attention was given to the body fit and alignment, and rigidity increased with sub-frame connectors. Highlights include a show quality yellow finish, a custom interior with matching yellow stitching, and a fully-finished driveline and undercarriage with mirror-gloss finishes throughout.
During the restoration, every piece of the driveline was smoothed and finished. The entire unibody was stripped, ensured to be completely rust-free, and finished top-to-bottom, inside and out with high-luster finishes resulting in the entire underside presenting better than new. Sparing no expense, many touches like polished stainless hard brake lines were specified, numerous components upgraded to polished billet aluminum, all assembled with painstaking care.
The exterior boasts all new rubber weatherstripping, and all chrome, stainless and other brightwork either new or restored to present as new. The body was painstakingly straightened and panels fit by true craftsmen to better-than-new tolerances. During the body restoration, the door handles were shaved to enhance the car's sleek, clean lines, and included are two remote-controlled door openers for ease of operation.
The list of mechanical upgrades are from the top names in the business. Starting with a 440 Mopar block, it was treated to a stroker crank to bring the displacement to 500 cubic inches. Indy aluminum cylinder heads and intake manifold sport a Holley 850 carburetor. Power-assisted Wilwood brakes with Wilwood billet master cylinder and drilled rotors are actuated with polished stainless hard lines throughout.
The Interior features a custom dash with a full complement of AutoMeter gauges, a billet steering wheel, Sony sound system with remote control, a custom center console with two integrated cupholders, and yellow stitching on the seats, dashboard, and center console to complement the exterior color.
