With the introduction of the XF, Jaguar leapt into the midsize luxury market, aimed at a specific segment of the luxury car market which was defined as executive sedans. The XF is a replacement for the outgoing S-Type sedan, and the XF had a sleeker look, with more passenger room for occupants. Ebony Black paint covers this XF's curves, while thoughtfully placed chrome trim adds some contrast to the dark exterior. As one would expect, the interior is luxurious, and offers a number of nice creature comforts. An interesting design feature which is noticeable as soon as one is seated in the car is the hidden climate control vents. It leaves a completely smooth tim panel, which in this case makes for a flowing silver dashboard section. Just above the silver trim panel is wood trim, which is no surprise in a Jaguar. The car offers CD stereo, dual zone climate control, navigation, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. The clear, concise gauges are framed by a three spoke, leather wrapped steering wheel.
Under the hood is Jaguar's 4.2 Liter V8, which is supercharged using an Eaton supercharger. Gear selection is handled by a 6 speed automatic transmission, with power sent to the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows approximately 106,700 miles.
