1961 Ford Ranchero
Starting in 1960, the Ford Rancho was built on the Falcon platform, creating a unique and fun sized utility vehicle. Rarely seen today, these early 1960s Rancheros are becoming increasingly popular with collectors. This 1961 Ford Ranchero has some interesting upgrades that make this one stand out from the rest. This fully restored Ranchero in finished in White with a Black interior. With a very straight body, nice paint and bright chrome, this classic appears to be stock at first glance, with exception of a set of American Racing Torq Thrust wheels. The interior is very clean and features a tilt steering column, Grant GT steering wheel, air conditioning, Hurst floor-mounted ratcheting shifter, and a cool Dakota Digital gauge cluster. 350 Chevy engine TH350 automatic transmission 9-inch Ford rear end Holley Quick Fuel carburetor 4-wheel disc brakes Mustang ll style front suspension 4-link rear suspension Air conditioning Dakota digital gauge cluster The real surprise is in the nicely detailed engine bay, where a Chevy 350 small block engine has been cleanly installed. The engine features an aluminum intake manifold topped with a Holley Quick Fuel carburetor, power steering, aluminum radiator with electric fans, serpentine belt system, Street Fire CDI box and chrome bowtie logo valve covers. A fuel cell is cleverly hidden in tool box in the bed. Power goes back through a Chevy turbo 350 automatic transmission out to a Quick Performance 9-inch rear end supported by a 4-link with coil-over springs. The front suspension is a Mustang ll design with tubular control arms with polyurethane bushings. This Ranchero is also equipped with power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors on all four corners. A lot of thought and engineering went into this build, resulting in one very fast 1961 Ford Ranchero that handles like it's on rails! Call today!
